Business value

Organizations are faced with complexities in understanding the key requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Understanding the requirements and data to include are paramount to a successful disclosure. After you understand the requirements, you need to map metrics or data points to these requirements. Gain enhanced efficiency and accuracy when disclosing CSRD requirements. You no longer have to sift through all your sustainability data to determine what to include to support the requirements defined within the CSRD. You can include the quantitative data captured through Microsoft Sustainability Manager in this updated assessment template.

Feature details

You can find the CSRD preparation report in the Reporting area of Microsoft Sustainability Manager. To generate a CSRD preparation report, set the Report type to Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. Specify the report language, report name, reporting year, and organizational hierarchy information. Then you make sure your report includes the values you need by mapping your goals to each type CSRD goal.

You can map your goals to the following categories:

  • Scope 1
  • Scope 2 (location-based)
  • Scope 2 (market-based)
  • Scope 3
  • Total GHG emissions
  • Water management
  • Waste management
  • Air pollutants
  • Soil pollutants
  • Substances of concern or high concern

Your generated report includes quantitative and qualitative metrics and descriptions that appear in the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
