Business value
This feature in Microsoft Sustainability Manager saves time and enhances productivity for sustainability managers, business analysts, and administrators who are responsible for accurate data reporting and analysis. It streamlines the process of recalculating activities that have previously failed, eliminating the need to rerun the entire calculation job when only some of the activities have failed to calculate.
Feature details
This feature enhances the robustness of the system by addressing errors that occur during calculation processes. It aims to mitigate errors by automatically retrying system errors for failed activities at the end of a calculation job. It improves efficiency by also allowing you to update activity data and manually retry only the failed activities in a previously run calculation job.
This feature handles system errors with the following actions:
- Automatic retries: The system automatically marks failed activities with data validation errors for retry. After the initial calculation job is completed, these activities are reprocessed.
- Manual intervention: You can manually initiate a retry for failed activities inside the Calculation profile history by selecting the Retry button, which generates a new calculation job linked to the original job. This job focuses solely on the activities that encounter errors.
- UI enhancements: The calculation job UI now includes a column for parent job lookup and retry jobs are clearly labeled with a Retry prefix for easy identification.
