Deploy the Copilot for Service extension (preview)

The Microsoft 365 Copilot for Service extension (preview) is a connector plugin that allows your agents to use Microsoft 365 Copilot to query CRM data and access AI capabilities, such as case summaries.

Note

This feature is currently only available for environments in the United States.

Prerequisite

Before you can deploy the Copilot for Service extension, you must first enable the Copilot plugin for users in the Microsoft 365 admin center app.

  1. On the Microsoft 365 admin center site map, select Copilot. The Copilot page is displayed.
  2. Select the Settings tab, and then select Plugins.
  3. On the Plug-ins page, select the users you want to be able to access the plugin, and then select Save.

Deploy the Copilot for Service extension (preview) plugin

  1. On the Microsoft 365 admin center site map, in Settings, select Integrated apps.
  2. Select the Available apps tab, and then select Copilot for Service Extension (preview).
  3. On the Copilot for Service Extension (preview) page, in Actions, select Deploy app.
  4. On the Apps to deploy page, select Next.
  5. On the Add users page, in Assign users, select the users for which you want to deploy the extension, and then select Next.
  6. On the Accept permissions requests page, review the App Permissions and Capabilities, and then select Next.
  7. On the Review and finish deployment page, select Finish deployment. The Deployment progress page is displayed.
  8. When the Copilot for Service Extension (preview) deployment shows as Deployment completed, select Done.
