Store service fee discount for renewals
Starting October 1, 2024, a 50% store service fee discount will apply for private offer customer renewals. A customer renewal is defined as a renewal of either:
- A current private offer, or
- An existing paid agreement still in effect outside of the commercial marketplace that partners are migrating to the commercial marketplace
To receive the discount, you need to self-attest to the renewal status during private offer creation. The discounted store service fee then applies automatically. Private offers created before October 1, 2024, aren't eligible for this discounted fee.
Note
If you have a custom fee agreement with Microsoft, you might not be eligible for this discount. Reach out to your Microsoft contact for more information.
To self-attest, follow these steps:
Sign in to Partner Center, and select the Marketplace offers workspace.
Select Private offers from the left navigation.
During private offer creation, you're asked to self-attest to the customer renewal status (see the following image). Affirming automatically enrolls you for the fee discount.
Important
Renewal self-attestation can only happen during private offer creation. It can't be done retroactively via Partner Center or support after offer creation.
