Visual SourceSafe Login Dialog Box (Explorer and Plug-in)
Allows you to enter the database name and the login credentials required to access Visual SourceSafe. This dialog box is displayed when you start Visual SourceSafe only if there is no network login name enabled or if you are not registered as a database user by the database administrator.
Dialog Box Access
On the Start menu, click Programs, then Microsoft Visual SourceSafe, and then select Microsoft Visual SourceSafe to open Visual SourceSafe Explorer.
In Visual Studio, select an item in Solution Explorer. On the File menu, click Source Control, and then click Add Solution to Source Control.
- Browse
Allows you to navigate to a database file in existing folders.
- Database
Specifies the name of a Visual SourceSafe database. You can also use the Browse button to find the Srcsafe.ini file for the database to access.
- OK
Provides access to the database.
- Password
Specifies the password to use in accessing the database. The original password is specified by your database administrator.
- Username
Specifies the user name to use in accessing the database. Your user name is specified by your database administrator.
