WMRMKeys.KeyID
The KeyID property specifies and retrieves the key ID.
Syntax
WMRMKeys .KeyID = String String = WMRMKeys .KeyID
Parameters
This property takes no parameters.
Return Values
If the property succeeds, it returns a String containing the key ID. If it fails, it returns a number in the error object.
Return code | Description |
0x80004005 | An unspecified error occurred. |
0x80070057 | The specified parameter is not valid. |
Remarks
The key ID is stored in the content header. When you have specified the key ID and the license key seed, you can use the WMRMKeys.GenerateKey method to create a content key. Use the WMRMKeys.GenerateKeyID method to create a globally unique key ID.
