How to Rollback a Web Content Project
You can manually rollback a Web content project by using the project's Action menu Rollback command. You rollback a project to undo the content updates that you published on a destination server.
You can issue the Rollback command in one of the two following ways:
From the Commerce Server Staging (CSS) Microsoft Management Console (MMC) project's Action menu Rollback command.
Issuing a Rollback command through the command line, specifying the project name and destination server:
css.exe rollback <projectname> /server <servername> /user <username> [pass | *]
The Rollback command is only available under the following circumstances:
The project successfully completed replication on the destination server.
You have enabled rollback on the destination server where Web content was replicated.
You have not exceeded the number of rollbacks that are allowed for the destination server.
Note
In order to rollback a replication, you must have permission to manage the project. You have permission if you are a member of the CSS Operators or CSS Administrators group or have project-level permission.
To rollback a project
Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 , and then click Commerce Server Staging.
In the Commerce Server Staging console, in the left pane, expand Commerce Server Staging, expand <server name> that corresponds to the endpoint server whose content you want to roll back, and then click Projects.
In the right pane, right-click the project that you want to roll back, and then click Rollback.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each endpoint server whose content you want to rollback.
