How to Install BizTalk Server 2006

To install BizTalk Server 2006

  1. Insert the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 product CD into the CD drive. If the BizTalk Server Setup page does not appear, double-click setup.exe located on the root of the installation CD.

  2. On the Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 Installation Wizard page, click Install Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 on this computer.

  3. On the Customer Information page, type your user name and organization, and then click Next.

  4. On the License Agreement page, click Yes, I accept the terms of the license agreement to accept the terms of the License Agreement, and then click Next.

  5. On the Component Installation page, review the available components and select the components that you want to install. Accept the default installation location or click Browse to move to the location where you want to install BizTalk Server 2006, and then click Next.

    Note

    If your computer is missing a prerequisite component, the Setup program can install redistributable prerequisites automatically from the Web or from a pre-downloaded CAB file. You may be redirected to the Component Updater screen at this point in the installation process.

    Note

    Unicode characters are not supported in the installation path for BizTalk Server 2006.

  6. On the Summary page, verify that the components that you select to install are correct.

  7. Click Install to start the installation process.

    Note

    During the installation of the BizTalk Server Web services, the Visual Studio 2008 Choose your default environment settings dialog box may appear. To close this dialog box and continue to install BizTalk Server 2006, click Exit Visual Studio.

  8. On the Installation Completed page, verify that the Launch BizTalk Server Configuration check box is selected, and then click Finish. This starts the BizTalk Server 2006 Configuration Wizard.
