InkPicture.TabletAdded Event
Occurs when a Tablet object is added to the system.
Namespace: Microsoft.Ink
Assembly: Microsoft.Ink (in Microsoft.Ink.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Event TabletAdded As InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler
'Usage
Dim instance As InkPicture
Dim handler As InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler
AddHandler instance.TabletAdded, handler
public event InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler TabletAdded
public:
event InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler^ TabletAdded {
void add (InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler^ value);
void remove (InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler^ value);
}
JScript does not support events.
Remarks
The event handler receives an argument of type InkCollectorTabletAddedEventArgs that contains data about this event.
When you create an InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler delegate, you identify the method that handles the event. To associate the event with your event handler, add an instance of the delegate to the event. The event handler is called whenever the event occurs, unless you remove the delegate. For performance reasons, the default event interest is off but is turned on automatically if you add an event handler.
Examples
The event handler in this example activates special application features only available to 3D digitizers if each Tablet object in the Tablets collection supports the PitchRotation property.
Private Sub Event_OnTabletAdded(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As InkCollectorTabletAddedEventArgs)
Me.Is3DActive = New Tablets().IsPacketPropertySupported(PacketProperty.PitchRotation)
End Sub
private void Event_OnTabletAdded(object sender, InkCollectorTabletAddedEventArgs e)
{
this.Is3DActive = new Tablets().IsPacketPropertySupported(PacketProperty.PitchRotation);
}
At startup, the InkPicture object, mInkPicture registers the event handlers.
' register the TabletAdded and TabletRemoved event handlers
AddHandler mInkPicture.TabletAdded, New InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler(AddressOf Event_OnTabletAdded)
AddHandler mInkPicture.TabletRemoved, New InkCollectorTabletRemovedEventHandler(AddressOf Event_OnTabletRemoved)
// register the TabletAdded and TabletRemoved event handlers
mInkPicture.TabletAdded += new InkCollectorTabletAddedEventHandler(Event_OnTabletAdded);
mInkPicture.TabletRemoved += new InkCollectorTabletRemovedEventHandler(Event_OnTabletRemoved);
