Sample: Create a real-time workflow in code

Applies To: Dynamics 365 (online), Dynamics 365 (on-premises), Dynamics CRM 2016, Dynamics CRM Online

This sample code applies to on–premises Microsoft Dynamics 365. Complete source code for the sample can be found in the following location in the SDK Download the Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK package. package:

SampleCode\CS\Process\Workflows\CreateRealtimeWorkflow.cs

Download the Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK package.

Requirements

You must enable support for custom XAML workflows on your on-premises server. For more information, see Enable or disable XAML workflows. For more information about the requirements for running the sample code provided in this SDK, see Use the sample and helper code.

Demonstrates

The following sample shows you how to create a real-time workflow in code instead of using the interactive workflow designer in the web application. This sample works only with an on-premises or an Internet-facing deployment (IFD) of Microsoft Dynamics 365 because custom XAML workflows aren’t supported in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (online).
