Messages in the discovery service

Messages are used with the discovery service Execute method. All messages available in the discovery web service for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (online & on-premises) apply to all deployment types.

The following table lists the messages that are supported with Execute method. Each message derives from the abstract base class DiscoveryRequest.

Description

RetrieveUserIdByExternalIdRequest

Retrieves the logged-on user's ID in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (online). This message is available in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (online) only.

RetrieveOrganizationRequest

Retrieves information about a single organization.

RetrieveOrganizationsRequest

Retrieves information about all organizations to which the user belongs.
