How to: Assign Standard Sales Codes to Customers

You may have customers to which you often need to post sales lines with similar information. If you have set up standard sales codes to represent the lines, then you can assign the codes to the relevant customers. Later, when you create a document for the customer, you will be able to automatically insert the standard sales lines.

To assign a standard sales code to a customer

  1. In the Search box, enter Customers, and then choose the related link.

  2. Select the customer that you want to assign one or more codes to.

  3. On the Navigate tab, in the Sales group, choose Std. Cust. Sales Codes.

  4. Press Ctrl+N to insert a new line. In the Code field, select the code you want, and then choose the OK button to copy the code.

  5. Repeat these steps for each code you want to assign to the customer.
