Troubleshooting: Some Objects are Missing from Object.xml File

You have developed some new tables, fields, reports, or pages in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and created an object.xml file with Help Builder, but your new objects do not appear in the object.xml file.

Resolution

Help Builder uses the CaptionML property of an object to generate object strings in the object.xml file. You must define the CaptionML in the language that you are using in your Help content. Examine the following possible causes to troubleshoot this issue:

• Ensure that you have defined the CaptionML property for your objects. For more information, see How to: Enable Object Captions in Object Tokens.

• Ensure that you are using the correct language settings when you create the object.xml file with Help Builder. For more information, see How to: Change Language Settings for Local Content.
