This topic describes the file naming guidelines that are used in the base application Help.
File Naming Guidelines
In the standard Help for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, many file names for topics have a prefix that identifies the type of content that the topic contains. The following table describes the file naming guidelines for each topic type.

The topic contains reference content for a system window or dialog. |

The topic contains reference content for a table or a field on a table. |

The topic is a task topic and contains procedures. |

The topic contains a walkthrough. |
Note
The file name suffix for business process topics, HDI, is an acronym for the internal name, which means How Do I.
