Troubleshooting: Some Help Text is Not Translated

After building a localized Help file with Help Builder, you may find that certain text is in English instead of the language of your localized Help file.

Resolution

Help Builder inserts the boilerplate text based on settings in the configuration files. If you use the default configuration files, then you may find that topic titles, index keywords, and automatically inserted link paragraphs appear in English.

For example, the title of the "Customer Table" topic may appear with "Customer" in your target language but with "Table" displayed in English.

To resolve this error, use the translated Help Builder configuration files. You can find them in the %MyDocuments%\Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Help Toolkit\Config\Help Builder folder in the correct country/language version folder. If your country/language folder is not available in the %MyDocuments%\Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Help Toolkit\Config\Help Builder folder, then you must download the Help source package for your country/language version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

If the names of your application objects are not translated, then you must use the Object.xml for your country/language version of the database. For more information, see the Help guide that is included in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Help Toolkit.
