Search Name Field, Employee Table

Specifies a search name for the employee.

You can use the Search Name field to search for an employee when you cannot remember the employee number.

When you enter something in the Initials field and press ENTER, the program automatically copies the contents to the Search Name field.

The contents of the Search Name field do not have to be the same as those of the Initials field. You can manually enter a search name, using a maximum of 30 characters, both numbers and letters. If you enter a search name manually, it will not change, even if you change the contents of the Initials field.
