Shipment Date Field, Sales Header Table
Specifies the date you expect to ship items on the sales document. By default, today’s date is entered.
The date is copied to all the sales lines set up under the sales header, but you can change it on individual lines. When you change the shipment date on the sales header, the program gives you the option to change the date on the lines.
The date affects the item availability, which you can see by clicking Related Information, pointing to Item, pointing to Item Availability by, and then clicking either Period, Variant, or Location on the item card. The item availability is automatically updated to show the available inventory.
Note
When used on a sales return order, the Shipment Date field denotes the date on which the returned item(s) are received.
