How to: Configure Check-out Settings

Administrators of Team Foundation source control can configure source control check-out settings. Check-out settings in Team Foundation source control enable files to be simultaneously edited by more than one person. The following procedure demonstrates how to configure check-out settings.

Required Permissions

To configure check-out settings, you must have the Manipulate security settings permission set to Allow. For more information, see Team Foundation Server Permissions.

Procedure

To configure checkout settings

  1. From the Team menu, click Team Project Settings, and then click Source Control.

  2. In the Source Control Settings dialog box, select the Check-out Settings tab.

  3. Select or clear the Enable multiple checkout box.

  4. Click OK.
