The WPD application interfaces support the following tasks:

• Connect to a device.
• Enumerate attached devices.
• Examine a device's capabilities.
• Explore the contents of a device.
• Transfer content to, or create content on, a device.
• Modify objects on a device.
• Control the device.
• Monitor device arrival and departure.
