Setting up the License Acquisition URL

In the subscription business model, there are different situations that direct a consumer to your Web page referred to by the acquisition URL:

• The consumer has not renewed his or her subscription and is trying to play files for which the licenses have expired.
• The consumer has copied the files to a different computer and is trying to play them.
• The consumer has reinstalled the operating system on his computer and licenses are no longer valid.
• The consumer sent copies of the packaged files to friends, who are trying to play the files.

The license acquisition URL that you display should provide information for these situations. For example, this Web page might explain how the consumer can subscribe to your site, renew a subscription, or request new licenses.
