Installation Managed by the User
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 will reach end of support on January 9, 2018. To stay supported, you will need to upgrade. For more information, see Resources to help you upgrade your Office 2007 servers and clients.
Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant can be installed by using a file server on your network as a software distribution point for the Communicator 2007 R2 Windows Installer package. At rollout time, you can send an e-mail message to users that explains the installation process and provides a link to the distribution point.
Note
The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 must be installed on the users computers before Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant can be installed.
To install Communications Server 2007 R2 Attendant on a desktop computer
Double-click AttendantConsole.msi.
Click Next.
Read the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then click Next.
Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement, and then click Next.
Choose a destination folder, or accept the default and then click Next.
Click Install to begin the installation.
After the setup files are installed, click Next.
Click Finish to complete the installation.
