A parameter for the uncheckout document Method method. true if there is a short-term lock on the file; otherwise, false. A short-term lock automatically expires after a set period of time.

In the context of Microsoft Office, when the user checks out a file from a source control system and opens Microsoft Word to edit the file, Word automatically sets a short-term lock on the file to prevent other users from editing the open file. When the user closes the file in Word, Word releases the short-term lock. This parameter notifies the server to release only the short-term lock, but not any long-term lock, or check-out, that may apply in the source control system.
