Using the Contacts Application as a Development Blueprint
The Microsoft Speech Application SDK Version 1.1 (SASDK) Contacts reference application provides a degree of configuration flexibility that makes it a good starting point for a production application. Developers can:
- Customize settings in order to control which services the application offers.
- Specify which data the application uses to resolve name collisions.
- Set various thresholds.
- Affect the operation of the application in several other useful ways.
See Configuring the Contacts Application Settings and Adding Contact Data to the Contacts Data File for instructions.
The SASDK also includes a Contacts Helper application that allows developers to:
- Regenerate the current names grammar of the application so that it includes any new names that developers have added to the contacts data file since the last names grammar was generated.
- Generate a recording script that identifies names and other contact information that developers have added to a contact data file after a specified date.
See Using Contacts Helper for instructions.
