When you have created and configured your FAST Search Content SSA and enabled SSL communication, it is possible to distribute the crawling task over additional servers within your Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 farm.

Follow the procedures outlined in this section to scale out crawling over multiple servers.

Note

You must only deploy one Content SSA associated with your Microsoft FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint farm. You can scale out the FAST Search Content SSA across multiple servers for performance and failover.
