Embedded Labels Page, Map Dialog Boxes

Select Labels to define the appearance of labels for an embedded map polygon, line, or point. To display this page, you must select the override option for the map elements (polygon, line, point) on the corresponding layer properties dialog box.

Options

  • Label text
    Type text or an expression to display as the label.

  • Placement
    This option appears for map element type Line and Point.

    Select a value that controls where the label appears relative to the map element:

    Line: Above, Center, Below.

    Point or Polygon Center Point: Bottom, Top, Left, Right, Center.

  • Visibility
    This option appears for map element type Polygon.

    Select a value that controls the visibility of the label:

    • Auto. Let the report processor show or hide the label.

    • True. Always show the label.

    • False. Always hide the label.

  • Tooltip
    Type text or an expression that evaluates to a tooltip. Click the Expression (fx) button to edit the expression. The tooltip appears when the user pauses the pointer over the item in the rendered report.
