How to: Freeze a Column (Report Builder 1.0)
To prevent columns from scrolling out of view, you freeze the columns. When freezing columns, the far right or far left column must be included and multiple adjacent columns can be included. All columns cannot be included when freezing columns. Only columns in tabular reports can be frozen.
You control which columns are frozen by moving the column markers beside the far right or far left report heading. These column markers appear as upside down triangles. When the report is run and you scroll across the report, the columns between the column markers do not scroll.
To freeze a continuous set of columns from the left side
In the Report Builder design area, drag the column marker from the far left column to the far side of the last column you want to freeze.
For example, if you want to freeze the first three columns from the left, drag the left column marker to the right side of the third column.
To freeze a continuous set of columns from the right side
In the Report Builder design area, drag the column marker from the far left column to the left edge of the last column you want to freeze.
Drag the leftmost tab marker to the far right edge of the table.
For example, if you want to freeze the first three columns from the left, drag the left column marker to the right side of the third column.
To unfreeze a column frozen along the left side
In the Report Builder design area, drag the inside column marker back to the default location beside the far left column.
For example, if the first three columns from the left are frozen, drag the column marker on the right side of the third column back to the left side of the first column.
To unfreeze a column frozen along the right side
In the Report Builder design area, drag the rightmost column marker back to the default location beside the far left column.
Drag the inside column marker back to the default location beside the far left column.
For example, if the first three columns from the right are frozen, drag the column marker on the far right back to the far left side of the table. Then, drag the inside column marker back to the far left side of the table.
