IsNumeric Property
This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.
The IsNumeric property is TRUE if the system data type referenced is an exact, numeric data type.

Remarks
Exact numeric data types are scaled integer values represented as strings. If a column using an exact numeric data type is being defined, precision and scale are specified, as in decimal(12, 4).
