UseCurrentUserServerGroups Property

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

The UseCurrentUserServerGroups property configures registry entries listing instances of Microsoft SQL Server.

Remarks

If TRUE, registry entries listing instances of SQL Server are keyed by user name. Each user using the client computer can configure lists to meet individual preferences.

If FALSE (default), registry entries listing instances of SQL Server are not keyed by user name. Any change made by an authorized user in the list of instances is visible to all authorized users.
