Configure Documents Redirection

By default, Windows EBS uses the UserMyDocs shared folder on the Management Server to redirect users' Documents folders. To use a different folder, follow these steps:

  • Configure a shared folder with security-enhanced permissions.
  • Specify that the shared folder (for example, \\AdvWorks-Management\RedirectDocs) is the target folder for Documents redirection.

Note

You can redirect a user's Documents folder to the shared folder, or you can leave the Documents folder on the user's client computer. If you redirect it, the Documents folder is redirected to \TargetFolder<EM>UserName\Documents (for example, \AdvWorks-Management\RedirectDocs<EM>UserName\Documents).
