How to: Provision a Device in a Visual C++ Project
To complete the following procedure:
You must have a Smart Device Visual C++ project in your solution. For more information, see Programming for Devices Using Visual C++.
You must have signed the project output of your Visual C++ project. For more information on signing Visual C++ projects, see How to: Sign the Project Output in a Visual C++ Project (Devices).
Note
The dialog boxes and menu commands you see might differ from those described in Help depending on your active settings or edition. To change your settings, choose Import and Export Settings on the Tools menu. For more information, see Visual Studio Settings.
To provision a device in a Visual C++ device project
In Solution Explorer, right-click the Visual C++ project, and then on the shortcut menu, click Properties.
Expand the Authenticode Signing page.
For the Provision Device property, select either Privileged Certificate Store or Unprivileged Certificate Store.
On the Authenticode Signing page, click OK.
