Printer.KillDoc Method
Immediately stops the current print job.
Namespace: Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Printing.Compatibility.VB6
Assembly: Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs (in Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Sub KillDoc
public void KillDoc()
public:
void KillDoc()
member KillDoc : unit -> unit
public function KillDoc()
Remarks
If the operating system's Print Manager is handling the print job (the Print Manager is running and has background printing enabled), KillDoc deletes the current print job. When this happens, nothing is sent to the printer.
If Print Manager is not handling the print job (background printing is not enabled), some or all of the data may be sent to the printer before KillDoc can take effect. In this case, the printer driver resets the printer when it can and stops the print job.
Note
Functions and objects in the Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Printing.Compatibility.VB6 namespace are provided for use by the tools for upgrading from Visual Basic 6.0 to Visual Basic 2010. In most cases, these functions and objects duplicate functionality that you can find in other namespaces in the .NET Framework. They are necessary only when the Visual Basic 6.0 code model differs significantly from the .NET Framework implementation.
