Accesses a variant array element.

Syntax

HRESULT GetArrayElement(
  [in]          VARIANT *pVarIn,
  [in]          LONG    iElement,
  [out, retval] VARIANT *pVarOut
);

Parameters

pVarIn [in]: An array containing a singly dimensioned safe array.
iElement [in]: Identifies the array element to be returned.
pVarOut [out, retval]: Receives the array element.

Return value

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.

Remarks

If pVarIn is not a safe array, or iElement is either less than the lower limit of the array or more than its upper limit, the type returned is VT_EMPTY. This method exists due to restrictions in Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript).
