Learning More About PC Authentication (Windows CE 5.0)

The PC Authentication functionality, both the Windows CE LAP and the desktop computer application, is provided in source code form. In addition, the Telephony User Interface (TUI) application, which is also provided in source code form, uses the PC Authentication Catalog item to show different screens depending on the lock/unlock status of a desktop computer.

To learn more about the LAP and desktop computer application implementations, examine the source code itself. For information about the location of this source code, see PC Authentication Samples.

You can also use the TUI to see how the LAP works by creating an IP phone OS design, compiling and deploying the desktop computer application, and then experimenting with how TUI works when your desktop computer is locked, unlocked, unavailable, and so on. For more information , see How to Create a Default IP Phone on a CEPC or How to Create a Default IP Phone on an Emulator. For more information , see Setting up the PC Authentication PC Application.
