5/10/2007

You can view the actions of the Device Update Agent (DUA) service that is running on a run-time image with the Event Viewer. The Event Viewer can help troubleshoot problems with DUA.

To view the Device Update Agent service actions

  1. From a command line, type:

    eventvwr

    The Event Viewer window opens.

  2. Open the application log by choosing Applications.

  3. Sort the service listing by choosing Source. All of the services listed are sorted by name.

  4. Find the DUAgent service actions and note any problems that occurred.

If you encounter problems with the DUA polling a Web server, you can also view the IIS event logs. For more information, see Viewing DUA Actions in an IIS Log.
