DUA Service Does Not Start on the Device

Learn what to do when the DUA service does not start.

To correct this error

  • Verify the following DUA settings:

    • In the MMC Services snap-in, verify the user account name and password that the Device Update Agent service is configured to use.
    • In the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DUAgent\Parameters\Config, verify that DUA is configured to start on system boot.
  • Verify the following DUA settings:
