Modifying Windows Messenger Help (Windows CE 5.0)
The Windows Messenger Catalog item includes basic user Help in HTML format.
A Windows Messenger user can view Help by choosing the Help menu and then choosing Help Topics. This action causes Windows Messenger to start the application associated with the file type of the specified Help file. For example, if the specified Help file is an HTML file, the Internet browser included in the run-time image (either Internet Explorer or Microsoft® Pocket Internet Explorer) is started, and displays the specified page.
The supplied Help content consists of a single HTML file. This file is called msmsgs.htm and is located in %_WINCEROOT%\Public\VOIP\Oak\Files\INTLFILE\<language directory**>**. For example, the English version of this file is located in %_WINCEROOT%\Public\VOIP\Oak\Files\INTLFILE\0409\msmsgs.htm.
To change the content displayed when a user views Help, you can modify the content in the included file or replace the file entirely. You can also turn off the Help Topics option so that users cannot view user Help.

Modifying the Content in the Included File
You can modify the content of the included msmsgs.htm file to change the Help content the user sees .

Using a Different Help File
Windows Messenger determines which file to display based on the Help registry setting in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MessengerService key. To open a different file, change this entry to contain the path to the file to display.

Turning Off the Help Topics Menu Option
Windows Messenger determines whether to include the Help Topics menu item in the Help menu based on the existence of the Help registry entry in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MessengerService key. To remove the Help Topics menu item completely, remove the Help registry entry from the registry.
