TCP/IP and WinHTTP (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

Microsoft® Windows® HTTP Services (WinHTTP) provides developers with a server-supported, high-level interface to the HTTP/1.1 Internet protocol. WinHTTP can be used in server-based scenarios by server applications that communicate with HTTP servers, or in system services and HTTP-based client applications.

WinHTTP is more secure and robust than WinInet, and should be used for server implementation or services. For information about when to use WinInet, see TCP/IP and WinInet.

For more information, see this Microsoft Web site, and then search for Windows HTTP Services (WinHTTP).
