Downloading the OS Image to the Intel DBPXA250 Development Platform

If the Windows CE boot loader is already downloaded to the Intel DBPXA250 Development Platform, you can download the OS image.

To download the OS image to the Intel DBPXA250 development platform

  1. Set up Platform Builder for download.

  2. Start HyperTerminal.

  3. Verify that switch S14 is set to the Dot position.

This will turn off the flash chip write-protection.

The Dot setting is flash banks labeled U59 and U64, which is what you will want to choose.

  4. Turn on the Intel DBPXA250 development platform by moving toggle switch S16 to the far left position.

  5. Download the OS image.

For more information, see Downloading an OS Image to a Target Device.

If the OS image was built for flash memory, that is, IMGFLASH=1, the OS image will be written to flash memory after it is downloaded to a RAM cache.
