Supporting KITL in a Platform

The Kernel Independent Transport Layer (KITL) provides a hardware-independent mechanism for communication between the development workstation and a target device. For more information about KITL, see Kernel Independent Transport Layer.

To support KITL in a platform

  1. In the Platform Builder IDE, from the Platform menu, choose Settings.
  2. Choose the Build Options tab.
  3. Select the Enable KITL check box, and then choose OK.

You must build the platform to add support for KITL to the OS image. For more information, see Building a Platform.
