Downloading the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB Boot Loader to Flash

Before downloading the Ethernet boot loader, determine if the OEM boot loader is on the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB. For more information, see OEM Boot Loader Output for the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB.

If you are installing the Windows CE boot loader for the first time or restoring a boot loader that was corrupted, you can use the following procedure to download the Windows CE boot loader to the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB.

To download the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB boot loader to flash memory

  1. Turn off the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB.

  2. On the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB, move all the DIP switches in S1 to the Off position and turn on the SDB.

    This runs the persistent system Eboot program.

    Once the system is restarted, the Ethernet boot loader is downloaded just like a standard OS image.

  3. In Platform Builder, select the image you want to download.

  4. Choose Eboot.bin as the image to download to the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB.

    The download starts.

  5. Download the OS image to the NEC DDB-Vr4122 (Eagle) SDB.
