Project Additions to a Platform

Projects are added to a platform by creating a new project from the File menu or by inserting an existing project from the Project menu. Projects include applications, dynamic-link libraries (DLLs), static libraries, and transport layers.

You must make sure that the features necessary to support your project are included in your platform. The project can be excluded from the image or from being built using the General tab on the Platform Setting dialog box. Additionally, you can add custom build settings from the Custom Build tab and define file attributes from the BIB Info tab. These attributes define the file's properties on the target device.

By default, applications, DLLs, and transport layer projects are entered into CE.bib as modules. Static libraries are entered as files. Applications and static libraries will automatically appear in the Windows directory on your device. DLLs and transport layer projects are assigned the attributes Hidden and System by default.
