Expression dialog box: Property tab
Use this tab to specify which protocol properties you want to find or to add or edit a protocol property expression in the display filter decision tree.
- Expression
The address expression that you want to locate or to add to a display filter decision tree. As you select items in other areas of the dialog box, the display changes. When you click OK, the displayed expression is added to the display filter decision tree or is used as the frame search criterion. Any other changes that you make are lost. The Expression box appears regardless of which tab you have selected. You cannot edit the expression directly.
- Protocol:Property
The names and properties of protocols available to Network Monitor. If a plus (+) sign appears next to a protocol name, you double-click the sign to expand the protocol and select a property.
- Relation
A relational operator used to specify the connection between the protocol property and its possible values. The relational value can be one of the following:- ==
Equal to
- <>
Not equal to
- >
Greater than
- <
Less than
- >=
Greater than or equal to
- <=
Less than or equal to
- contains
Contains (value)
- exists
Exists (value)
- ==
- Value
The possible values that the highlighted property is compared to. When the Hex and the Decimal or Ascii options are visible, you can specify whether the number in the Value box is displayed in hexadecimal, decimal, or ASCII form.
