Determine what type of file share is appropriate for your situation. Note If you plan to maintain home folders for a large number of users on a server cluster, you do not have to create a file share resource for every home folder (which may slow down your server cluster's performance). Instead you can create a single file share for the root home folder and use the Cluster service to share the subfolders to the individual users.
