Gain productivity by using the Variant suggestions page

For organizations with many product dimension combinations on the market, the product variation recommendation functionality improves the performance and usability of products. Also, the enhanced method increases user productivity by tailoring the generated variation suggestions to the user's specific needs.

You can obtain the following benefits by using the Variant suggestions page:

  • Deferred generation of variant suggestions - Instead of making suggestions without user feedback, the Variant suggestions page includes a flow for users to submit suggestions for the system to consider before making its suggestions. By making the process more visible and engaging, you can increase user confidence by building trust in how the process works.

  • Selection of dimensions values - Generally, when you have many dimension values, you are most interested in developing variant proposals that include only a subset of them (such as when introducing a new set of colors or styles). You can specify the dimension values that are used to generate product variation suggestions. This feature enhances the relevancy of the proposed options, the system's overall performance, and the productivity of its users.

Work with the improved variant suggestions

To generate product variant suggestions, follow these steps:

  1. Open or create a product master and then add the required product dimensions to it.
  2. With the product master open, select Product variants on the Action Pane.

  1. Select Variant suggestions on the Action Pane.
  2. Select the values that you want to use for each dimension.
  3. On the toolbar, select Suggest.
  4. The system generates a list with all possible combinations of the sizes and colors that you selected. On the Suggested variants FastTab, select the checkbox for each product dimension combination that you want to use, or use Select all on the toolbar to select all of them.

  1. Select Create to add the variants to the current product master.
