Change starts at the top of organizations. The Executive Consultation (EC) helps turn employee feedback into the fuel for leadership decision-making and action.

An EC is a meeting with key executives / stakeholders, that focuses on exploring key employee feedback insights that have emerged as a result of a Glint survey. This is an important opportunity to amplify the feedback of employees, and help leaders to understand where their action, support and response is most required.

The EC provides an opportunity to drive meaningful conversation, build capabilities and model the mindset and behavior shifts that executives and HR leaders need to make to help transform their employees' experience of their organization.

Typical Viva Glint ECs differ from traditional engagement results presentations in a few meaningful ways:

Traditional Results Presentation Viva Glint EC
Focus on sharing a detailed analysis of the engagement data Focus on creating clarity and simplicity for leaders
Include most or all item scores/ demographics and multiple benchmark comparisons Include the items with the strongest impact on engagement /organizational priorities, and the demographics that are highest priority
Designed to inform leaders of results – with a minimal focus on action taking Designed to enable and activate leaders to own and role-model an agile response to employee feedback
The presenter is the expert – “the keeper of the data” The presenter is the Coach – and encourages agile use of the Viva Glint dashboard by leaders

During the meeting, key insights and recommendations are presented through a combination of summary slides, and platform exploration (where appropriate).

The meeting's goal is to help executives make informed decisions relating to ways of working and talent strategies based on employee feedback.

There are many ways to approach an Executive Consultation, but the three methods most often used by Viva Glint customers.

The EC process typically includes:

  1. Pre-EC questions / consultation. Prior to conducting any analysis, it’s important to ask preparation questions of key stakeholders to obtain information that will help ensure alignment and focus for the EC. Be sure to highlight the goals of the session and what will be expected of your leadership team during the presentation.
  2. A preview session. This is a working session with the core project team. The goal of this session is to review a draft of the presentation and note what, if any, changes should be made prior to the EC.
  3. An EC presentation session. This is the formal presentation of results to a key leadership group (i.e., HR Leadership Team, Executive Leadership team, etc.). This session typically highlights key insights from the organization-wide results and is meant to drive focused conversation and action. The goal is to identify and prioritize organization-wide insights that are relevant to executive-level decisions, answer questions the audience may have related to results and/or the Viva Glint platform and make recommendations for action based on Viva Glint and industry best practice.

Tip

For scheduling, we recommend having the meeting scheduled with your leadership team before your next survey launches. Aim to host this session within 4 weeks of the survey closing, and leave a minimum of 5 business days post survey to build the deck.
