Set up disposition codes
Your organization can create batch disposition codes to pinpoint the reasons why a batch is available or unavailable. To set up batch disposition codes, go to Inventory management > Setup > Batch > Batch disposition master. Select New and then specify the Batch disposition code, Description, and Batch disposition status. If you select the status of Unavailable for the Batch disposition status, then you can't use the batches for master planning, reservation, picking or shipping. Conversely, if you select the Available status, you can use the batches for master planning, reservation, picking, and/or shipping.
Assign batch disposition codes to batches
After you configure the batch disposition codes, you can assign them to batches. To do so, go to Warehouse management > Setup > Inventory > Batches and complete the following steps:
Select the batch that you want to assign the batch disposition code to.
In the batch, select the Reset tab on the Action Pane.
Select Reset batch disposition code.
In the New batch disposition code field, select the name of the code that you want to assign.
Select OK, and then the system applies the new settings.
