Running the test

Before you run the test, complete the test setup as described in the test requirements: Wireless LAN (802.11) Testing Prerequisites.

This test performs the following actions:

  • Configure two routers, that are named Router 0 and Router 1, as follows:
    • Router 0 - 2.4Ghz : WPA2PSK/AES/N
    • Router 0 - 5Ghz : WPA2PSK/AES/N
    • Router 1 - 2.4Ghz : WPA2PSK/AES/N
    • Router 1 - 5Ghz : WPA2PSK/AES/N
  • The following scenarios will be performed for up to 50 minutes
    • Connect and Disconnect - This runs cycles through attempting connection to Router 0 - 2.4GHz and then Router 1 - 2.4GHz
    • Scan - This runs initiates multiple Scans
    • Airplane Mode ON and OFF - This runs cycles through turning OFF and turning ON the radio
  • Before and after the test and periodically between the test scenarios the test will perform a data integrity test which includes:
    • Create a TCP server on the access point (AP) controller server (listen port 80)
    • Create a profile for Router 0 - 2.4 GHz having ConnectionMode configured as manual
    • Initiate a WlanConnect using the profile.
    • Wait for IP address on the adapter
    • Connect to the TCP server on the AP controller server to confirm that full network connectivity is available.
  • At the end the test will display the number of times each scenario ran
