IVdsMaintenance::PulseMaintenance method (vdshwprv.h)

Performs the specified operation a specified number of times.
Syntax

[in] VDS_MAINTENANCE_OPERATION operation,
[in] ULONG ulCount
);
Parameters
[in] operation
A maintenance operation enumerated by VDS_MAINTENANCE_OPERATION.
[in] ulCount
The number of times to perform the operation.
Return value
This method can return standard HRESULT values, such as E_INVALIDARG or E_OUTOFMEMORY, and VDS-specific return values. It can also return converted system error codes using the HRESULT_FROM_WIN32 macro. Errors can originate from VDS itself or from the underlying VDS provider that is being used. Possible return values include the following.

Remarks
If the operation is already running, this method causes it to pulse the specified number of times and then stop. The intervals at which the operation pulses is defined by the provider. This method cannot be used with the SpinDown or SpinUp operations.
