[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Streaming API, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by Media Casting. Media Casting has been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Retrieves a value that indicates whether the DMR is capable of playing video content.

Syntax

HRESULT IsVideoSupported(
  [out] boolean *value
);

Parameters

value [out]

A boolean value that is True if the DMR is capable of playing video content and False if it is not.

Return value

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Return code Description
S_OK
 The method succeeded.
