Hi Lois:Thank you very starting this blog. There is no shortage of skilled programmers in China. I hope that they could contribute to your blog.I am very pleased with Access 2010. I hope that the next version of Access could improve its link to SQL Server. Is it possible for us to continue to use ADP in the next version?Anonymous

Thanks Tang! I'm totally with you that Chinese programmers have great talents! I'm one of you although I'm currently working in the US.Yes, our investment in ADP is continued. We also added the connection to SQL 2008 for ADP in Access 2010. I'm very interested in knowing how you use ADP, what's the SQL version, what's the real-world scenario, etc. Shoot me an email and we can talk in detail. Hi Lois:We had a lot of biological databases in multiple remote sites. As you know, nature is too complex so Access databases are great for our various bio-databases. I am having issues to link Access to SQL Server through ODBC. I heard ADP will no longer be supported. Is there a way to make it easier for Access users to use SQL Server backend?Anonymous

Hi Lois: 很高兴有国人在MS ACCESS项目组工作了，这对在使用ADP开发企业管理软件的开发者来说是一个福音， 以后在开发中遇到问题可以方便地交流、请教了。 以前我主要用ACCESS2000项目+SQL2000来开发企业管理软件，后来了解了2007的新特性，觉得整个结构有很大的改进，特别是数据表的汇总功能，不再通过烦琐的设计而得到窗体表的合计，很是方便；而刚才看了您对ACCESS2010的介绍，觉得2010在网络共享上更加方便快捷。 在ADP、ADE安全方面，我有个问题想请教：1、ACCESS2000只对VBA代码提供了加密，而adp项目的表、视图、窗体、报表等却没有加密功能，这使得发布的客户端很容易看到基础表数据，新版本中是否提供这样的加密功能：要想（按住SHIFT）进入开发设计必须输入项目保护密码？2、ACCESS2010在ADP项目开发中后台数据库是否支持MSSQL2000、2005？ ZHAI 2010-2-4Anonymous

Hi Zhai,谢谢你的留言，看来关心 ADP、ADE 的中国用户还不少呢：）回答你的2个问题：可以阻止按住 SHIFT 键进入开发界面的功能 - 可以使用Add Method在.ADP 的 CurrentProject 的 AccessObjectProperties 里面加一个 AllowBypassKey属性。这样以来，即使按住Shift键也需要先进入连接建立对话框了。你可以看一下 http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/access/HA012327171033.aspx 上面的示例。 Access 2010 在ADP中将继续支持SQL 2000和SQL 2005, 而且我们也新增了对Access 2008的连接支持。Anonymous

Hi Lois: 没有想到这么快就得到您的回复，很感谢！！！但对ADP、ADE在数据安全方面还有以下疑问请教： 对于前面提到的第1个问题，在实际发布ADE时，正是使用你所回答的方法通过改变AllowBypassKey属性=false，来阻止按住 SHIFT 键进入开发界面，这确实很有效（但还是希望系统能提供一个方便的项目加密方法）。 但是，这种方法只阻止了按住 SHIFT 键进入开发界面看到基础表、视图，却不能阻止通过导入已发布的ADE来查看基础表和视图，这对数据安全是一个漏洞，不知Lois有什么好的方法？ ZHAI 2010-2-5 18：38Anonymous

Hi Lois:Thank you for starting Access blog in China. If you post your link on some popular sites of Chinese programmers, you will get more response for your blog. It will be interesting to read comments from Chinese IT community about Access 2010.Access 2010 enhances the connected SharePoint list experience by caching data in local tables which are persisted across Access sessions. Could this feature be extended to other databases like SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL in the next version of Access? I am sure that this would make Access even more popular in the years to come.Thanks again for starting this blog.Anonymous

ACCESS 2010 编程环境（IDE）中的帮助怎么打不开？提示框：已安装的一个或多个帮助文件存在问题。请修复office安装并重试已经安装多次了，还是不能用VBA帮助，弹出同样一个对话。Anonymous
